Cabbage, cabbage... It's not empty at all 🙃. It contains plenty of goodness and helps when illness strikes.
We mainly associate it with Polish cuisine - cabbage soup, sauerkraut, stuffed cabbage rolls, bigos, and pierogi are surely some of your favorite dishes.
Cabbage is not just a tasty vegetable. It is primarily a vitamin bomb with a high content of vitamins C and U (yes, there is such a vitamin), B, A, E, K. Cabbage is also rich in folic acid, rutin, calcium, potassium, magnesium, and iron. As a result, it excellently boosts immunity. It also contains compounds with strong anti-cancer properties.
Cabbage can be used for health in many forms:
-leaf poultice (for joint pain, sprains, arthritis, breast engorgement during breastfeeding),
-juice from sauerkraut or fresh cabbage (for anemia, hangovers, anti-cancer, diuretic, as a probiotic, detoxifying the body, boosting immunity),
-oil from cabbage seeds (moisturizing for skin and hair, caring for couperose and acne-prone skin),
-lyophilized and extract capsules (as vitamin supplements).
Do you remember the once-famous cabbage diet? It resulted in rapid weight loss, but unfortunately, its effect was mainly due to water loss from the body rather than magical fat burning.
